There is a plethora of comments on the Internet about the gross inaccuracies of OEM equipment. I'm sure you've seen the horror stories, wild claims about club lofts, lie angles, and swingweights being way out of tolerance. For no apparent reason, while I was waiting to have the shaft pulled out of a brand new Odyssey Black Series Tour Design putter, I decided to weigh the head. Using a digital scale that can resolve to .01 grams, I weighed the putter head to see how close it came to the advertised 350 grams. To double check the accuracy, I asked for the calibration weight and verified the scale was spot on.
Exactly 350 grams. Don't know whether or not to be surprised. So now I'm very curious about other clubs and specs. Stay tuned.
